About My Clients
You tend to be the woman people count on. Smart, driven, funny, responsible, and tired in ways that do not want others to see. Anxiety, grief, parenting, relationships, career pressure, major transition, they have you questioning how to keep holding it together. In therapy, we talk candidly about what is happening, what keeps repeating, and what kind of woman you are becoming next. Getting through the day is not the same as liking the life you’re living.
My Background and Approach
I approach counseling from the intersection of clinical experience, years in the C-suite, and a desire to help women build meaningful lives. I am a LPC in Virginia, a LMHC in Washington and Rhode Island, a NCC, and hold a doctorate in adult and higher education. This combination helps me understand pressure, identity, transition, relationships, decision-making, and the complicated business of being a woman with responsibilities, expectations, and very little interest in pretending life is simple. I often draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Positive Psychology, but therapy with me is not about forcing your life into my favorite frameworks. Based on what you need, we build a plan together. I may use values work, boundary-setting, pattern recognition, communication tools, coping strategies, decision-making support, nervous system awareness, and my PRISM framework to help you move through life with more intention, clarity, and levity.
