About My Clients
I work with clients who are creative, curious, and committed to developing their innate resilience. I welcome clients who are interested in introducing more creativity into their way of thinking. I often work with clients for whom arts are central to their personal and spiritual identity. I work with individuals who are relatively stable and able to engage in weekly outpatient therapy. I'm not the best match for folks experiencing active suicidality or psychosis.
My Background and Approach
I have a client centered approach to therapy and aim to meet each client where they are at, honoring their innate resiliency and collaborating to create individualized treatment plans. I know that each client navigates a variety of oppressive systems and needs space to bring their specific perspectives and identities into the therapeutic relationship. I draw upon theoretical frameworks such as CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, and parts work. I received my Masters in Painting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2015 and spent many years working in creative industries and academic environments. With a background in visual arts, music, and theater, clients are welcome to bring aspects of their creative practices into session.
