About My Clients

You've struggled with disordered eating for a time in your life. Perhaps you’ve found some recovery, but sometimes, you still use behaviors to shut off your feelings. You feel deeply and it often feels overwhelming so you restrict, body obsess or binge & purge to numb out and protect yourself. You want to live more at peace with your body, yourself, and others, but feel like there are certain behaviors and thoughts getting in your way. I can help you find the freedom you've been searching for!

My Background and Approach

My intention is for you to connect more with your intuitive Self, so that you can lead a life of authenticity and trust in your body, your self and others in your life. I utilize an integration of mindfulness based, trauma-informed, somatic therapies to help you develop insight and healing into the behavior and thought patterns that are getting in the way of living the life you desire. I want you to find freedom from the constant focus on food and body and will offer a safe and creative space for you to do just that! I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, with a masters degree from Northwestern University. I have extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems and mindfulness for the treatment of eating disorders, body image issues, depression, anxiety and trauma. For the past 10 years, I have attended many trainings on trauma informed therapy and yoga, as well as the integration of neuroscience and spirituality in personal and relational healing.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am passionate about helping others develop their fullest potential and eliminating behaviors that get in the way of this. When I received my first yoga teacher's certification in 2009, I knew I wanted to help others live with more ease and trust in their bodies. Through my graduate studies, training in the treatment of eating disorders and simple being a woman in this society, I have experienced and gained insight into the way diet culture has trapped us into a way of being that is oppressive and limiting. I want to help you find freedom from the cage of diet culture, so that you can live a fuller, more intuitive and joyful life with food and your body!

I offer online counseling in the following states:
