My Background and Approach
My approach is rooted in compassion, with a deep respect for the unique needs and experiences of each individual or couple. I have masters degrees in Clinical Psychology and Social Work. To address a wide spectrum of mental health concerns, I draw from a range of evidence-based therapies, including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Motivational Interviewing Life coaching/solution-focused Brainspotting (BSP) Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) With a strong foundation in the Gottman Couples Method and other evidences based practices, I am committed to helping couples build healthier connections, foster effective communication, and create a nurturing environment for growth and healing, taking into account each unique couple. My promise to you is a safe, non-judgmental space, with you as the expert on your journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone should have access to quality and effective mental healthcare in a safe non-judgmental space. My background in early intervention research and personal experiences with mental health struggles in my family have fueled my passion for supporting others. Inspired by my own mentors and mental health providers, I hope to guide my own clients towards tapping into their resilience, finding genuine joy in witnessing their healing and growth. I have had the unique opportunity to volunteer as court appointed special advocate (CASA) to foster children, provide equine therapy to individuals with developmental/physical disabilities and provided mental health services to refugees, immigrants and victims of human trafficking.
