About My Clients
Persons with Substance use disorders- alcohol, opiates for MAT and also cocaine, marijuana and other drugs of abuse who want efficient medical evaluation and treatment and, if needed, referrals- to rehabs, counsellors, intensive out patient programs and physicians. Efficient visits for prescribing for medications and coordination as needed with multidisciplinary professionals, as you request. Insurance can be billed for medications and labs. Office visits cannot be billed to insurance.
My Background and Approach
Iam double boarded in Family Medicine and Addiction and have a thorough and progressive approach to substance use disorder. I have worked in several countries and in varied settings which permits me a broad, curious interest in every person. I prescribe MAT- including suboxone, which I feel is a great help for those with opiate disorders. I also treat all other alcohol use disorders- utilizing medication to help with cravings, anxiety, depression and sleep. I refer for higher levels of service and to counsellors, as needed. I am LGBQT friendly, friendly in general and work with barriers to recovery so you can live a life without the destructive effects of addiction and substance use disorders.
