About My Clients
You are looking for a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered. You may be navigating a difficult season, healing from past experiences, or seeking a deeper understanding of yourself. You are ready to explore your goals, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools to navigate life with greater resilience, confidence, and well-being.
My Background and Approach
I am a graduate student at Northwestern University pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Counseling. As a veteran, military spouse, and former U.S. Air Force victim advocate, I bring a unique understanding of the challenges faced by individuals, families, and service members. I am committed to providing compassionate, trauma-informed care and creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard and empowered. I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and other personal challenges. My approach is warm, collaborative, and client-centered, with a focus on resilience and growth. I draw from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and art therapy techniques when appropriate, tailoring sessions to each client’s needs and goals. I believe healing begins with a trusting therapeutic relationship and feel honored to support clients on their journey toward greater well-being.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone deserves to be treated with respect, kindness, and fairness. No matter where someone comes from, what they look like, what they believe, who they love, or how much money they have, we all deserve the same basic rights and opportunities. I believe in standing up against discrimination and speaking up when people are being treated unfairly. To me, equality doesn’t mean we’re all the same—it means everyone should have a fair chance to live a safe, happy, and meaningful life. I try to lead with empathy, listen to people who see things differently, and remember that we’re all human. I believe the world is better when we look out for each other and make sure no one is left behind.
