About My Clients
Do you feel stuck or unsure about what's next? You may want a change but feel overwhelmed or uncertain about where to even start. I work with high schoolers, college students, graduate students, and young professionals who are experiencing burnout, perfectionism and high-functioning anxiety in their personal and/or professional lives. Together, we will explore who you are, what you need and want, with the goal of helping you live a more fulfilling life.
My Background and Approach
I believe therapy works best when it feels supportive, collaborative, and sustainable. My role is to help you slow things down and make sense of your lived experiences and emotions, and to support you make more meaningful, intentional choices. I often start by helping client's identify their ambivalence—the feeling of wanting to change while also feeling hesitant, unsure, or scared to take the next step. Using a motivational and curiosity-based approach, I guide clients to examine what matters most to them, notice what feels challenging about change, and consider what might help them take the next step. As your therapist, I help you find clarity and confidence in your own decisions. I also draw on values-based work. Many people can identify the values they want to live by, yet find that their actions don't always align with what matters most to them. Together, we work on clarifying your values and gently shifting patterns that may be getting in the way.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone deserves a safe space where they can be heard, understood, and supported. Therapy isn't only for major life transitions or crises, it can also be valuable even when life feels "normal." In fact, some of the most meaningful growth happens when things are going well. Therapy is a chance to get to know yourself better, understand your coping skills, make sense of your decisions, and build a deeper sense of clarity, confidence, and self-awareness.
