Depression is one of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that may be experienced at some point in your life. Through counseling and treatment using cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness, you can work on recovering the motivation, perspective, and joy you once had.

Many individuals experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger after traumatic events. There are several therapeutic modalities to address traumatic stress, including EMDR and TF-CBT. By working together to develop a treatment plan, we can work to help you overcome these symptoms and be guided through grief and healing.

Anxiety, panic, and fear are common symptoms that affect people during all phases of their lives. Talking through these emotions while developing coping strategies to decrease symptomology can be very effective. These skills can be obtained through an individualized treatment plan utilizing CBT, mindfulness, and other modalities.

My knowledge in couples counseling arose from a combination of academic background and significant hands-on experience working with couples. I strive to deeply understand relationship dynamics and effective communication strategies to address conflict. I believe in continuous learning and a commitment to ongoing professional development to lend to my proficiency in helping couples navigate challenges and improve their relationships.

My knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) stems from my extensive education in learning and understanding CBT's theoretical foundations. I also have years of hands-on experience applying CBT techniques with my clients. CBT is helpful with many symptoms and diagnoses but has extensive research on effectiveness with anxiety and depression.

I have undergone specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in 2020. My knowledge is also rooted in practical experience applying EMDR techniques to address trauma and related psychological challenges. I work hard to stay updated on EMDR research and demonstrate a nuanced understanding of the method's principles contributing to my expertise in effectively utilizing EMDR in therapeutic settings.
