About My Clients
Living with a chronic condition–anxiety, depression, Autistic or ADHD burnout, medical trauma, chronic illness, to name a few–can feel exhausting, overwhelming, and relentless. Taking care of yourself and getting through the day can feel like a job in and of itself. Finding a way to support your own unique body, brain, and experience is crucial to navigating life with a chronic condition. Let's work together to find out what works best for you.
My Background and Approach
Through my background in IPNB (Interpersonal Neurobiology) and mindfulness training, I support clients with bottom-up, nervous system-focused work that helps them gain a deeper understanding of their own experiences, stories, and relationships. I help my clients explore the "why" behind their behavior and responses: why did I react that way? Why is this relationship dynamic so challenging? Why do I never seem to be able to do what I need to do? Through our work together, clients will gain insight and understanding to their nervous system, emotions, and reactions, and help them discover tools to navigate the ups and downs of life–especially while living with a differently wired brain or differently functioning body in the world.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that is is an honor to be part of anyone's mental health journey, and feel immense privilege to be a part of the process with my clients and families. You're incredibly brave to be here. I constantly aim to make my practice as Anti-Racist, Neuroaffirming, and LGBTQIA+ affirming as possible, and humbly work to mirror than in my life as well. As a person who lives with a chronic illness myself (Type 1 Diabetes), I see how our systems fail us every day, but also that it's our communities that keep us going. I wholeheartedly believe that nature is healing and try to keep as many plants alive in my space at all times. In my spare time, I love playing video games, reading silly fantasy novels, creative writing, and watching the Mets win a baseball game on occasion.
