About My Clients
Many of the people I work with are navigating change, identity questions, or a quiet sense that something has felt off for a while. On the outside, they may appear capable or high-functioning, while internally feeling overwhelmed or disconnected. Some are moving through life transitions or relationship shifts, while others are noticing patterns that no longer feel sustainable. I also work with clients who have moved abroad or are considering it, as well as those exploring who they are becoming.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor providing online therapy for adult clients in St. Louis and throughout Missouri. My approach is integrative and relational, with parts work (IFS) as a central framework, alongside nervous system and polyvagal-informed therapy, mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and elements of energy psychology. I also bring the empowerment and recognition of systemic influence from feminist theory into my therapy style. Rather than pushing for change, I work collaboratively with clients to understand what is happening beneath the surface, including protective parts that may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward, as well as parts that have been carrying emotional burdens for a long time. This work allows change to happen in a way that feels steady, respectful, and aligned with your system.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The biggest determinant of whether therapy is effective is the relationship between the client and the therapist. Having faith in my clients and creating a sense of safety between us, and within you, is an inherent part of my work. Change does not have to come from forcing or pushing past what you are feeling. Instead, it can unfold when we bring compassion and gentle curiosity to every part of you, including the parts that feel uncertain, resistant, or afraid. A part of you may want something to change, and another part may not feel ready. Both deserve attention. I see protective patterns as meaningful, not something to get rid of, and I trust that when those parts feel understood, change tends to happen more naturally. Therapy can be a space to slow down, listen more closely, and reconnect with a steadier sense of yourself.
