About My Clients
You shouldn't have to live with a racing mind that bounces from one thing to another without relief. Whether you are an overextended student drowning in academic pressure, an educator facing daily stress, a professional managing a high-demand workload, or a family supporting an overwhelmed adolescent, chronic anxiety can leave you exhausted. I help individuals and families transition out of stress-induced "freeze" states so they can live with an inner calm and confidence.
My Background and Approach
Traditional 50-minute talk therapy frequently fails deeply analytical minds, neurodivergent systems, and individuals carrying complex trauma. Often, a client's relentless drive isn't just about their current environment, it is an internal blueprint where safety feels conditional on flawless performance. Staying stuck in cognitive loops doesn't heal a dysregulated body. My practice centers on an outcome-focused, integrative approach utilizing evidence-based somatic interventions designed to rapidly restore balance. Prior to practicing as an LCSW and clinical director, I spent over 15 years in intensive corporate and legal roles after earning my J.D. from Harvard Law. I understand firsthand the systemic exhaustion of carrying a heavy mental load. I treat clients as collaborative equals, working physically to clear bodily tension. I provide short-term Somatic Therapy Intensives on Sundays and weekday evenings at my Phoenix office and via secure telehealth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Anxiety is not a defect; it is a highly evolved protective stance intended to shield your system when you feel a lack of control. You are inherently built for self-healing. The interventions I use, such as EMDR, Brainspotting, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFT), and mindfulness, help access or "jump-start" this innate process so you don't have to constantly fight the accumulation of internal stress that keeps you stuck. I also focus heavily on neurodivergent-affirming care (AuDHD) and attachment-improving modalities, helping you reshape relational cycles, manage boundaries, and process underlying shame or loss without compromising your mental well-being. If you want to learn how to re-wire self-defeating tendencies and rediscover inner calm, please reach out to schedule a confidential and complimentary consultation.
