About My Clients
What happened to you does not define you. I would like to be a part of your journey to peace and healing. One of my main life goals is to assist and empower survivors of sexual abuse/ assault and sex trafficking. I have experience working with survivors in a lock down residential center, psychiatric hospital, and child sexual abuse center. You have made the first step by reaching out. My Background and Approach
My doctoral trainings and clinical experience as a licensed mental health counselor have prepared me to work with inpatient and outpatient clients across the lifespan with histories of human trafficking, intimate partner/ domestic violence, severe behavioral concerns, and sexual traumas as well as those with neurodevelopmental, mood, anxiety, trauma-related, and personality disorders. I have provided disability, neurological, and psychoeducational evaluation; individual and group therapy; meditation and mindfulness training; psychosocial rehabilitation training; and social and emotional learning training for active-duty service members, African American, Asian American Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latinx, White, and multiracial individuals in various settings, e.g., psychiatric hospital, afterschool program, community mental health centers, faith-based community, foster care agency, lock-down residential program, and sexual abuse center.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a multicultural-competent, client-centered professional certified life coach (by ICF), mindfulness and meditation specialist, and advocate for trauma and abuse survivors with more than 6 years of experience working with diverse population. My clients have said I am compassionate, kind, understanding, and validating. Sometimes one of those is all it takes to elicit change. I strongly believe in human’s potential and ability to grow.
