About My Clients
For couples: Do you & your partner struggle to understand & communicate with each other? Does frustration or anxiety arise when you try to communicate? Are there relationship issues you two can't seem to work through? For teens: Are you or your teen struggling because of anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, or relationship conflict? My Background and Approach
I have my master's degree from Pepperdine University in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have experience working in various mental health settings, such as community mental health and private practice. I specialize in working with the Asian American community and supporting clients in processing intergenerational trauma, as well as helping victims/survivors heal from narcissistic abuse. I always lead with compassion and work from a client-centered, nonjudgmental, culturally sensitive, and collaborative approach, utilizing each client's strengths to help them grow their confidence and gain self-awareness. I combine evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and the Gottman Method, with other modalities such as Narrative Therapy, Attachment style work, and Positive Psychology. Something unique about my approach is that I lead with gentleness and focus on my clients achieving their therapy goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I respect and honor that each client has his/her/their own unique story, culture, values, and lived experiences. I make sure to create a safe space for clients to openly reflect, feel heard, validated, trusted, and understood.
