About My Clients
This wasn't how things were supposed to go. You're worried you will feel this way forever, that you will never feel like yourself again. Your parenting experience is not what you expected it to be, in fact, it’s probably been pretty awful so far. Or you’ve experienced child or pregnancy loss and there are really no words to describe the void you are experiencing right now. You’re struggling to cope with life stressors, chronic illness, or grief. You feel lost... you just want to find your way.
My Background and Approach
My approach is person-centered, meaning you’re in the driver’s seat; solution-focused, we focus on mutually-defined goals; and trauma-informed, I am attuned to any trauma you have experienced and how it impacts you now. I hold a Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International and have advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I also incorporate DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness skills. Therapy is a safe place to express and process your complex emotions. It’s also a place where you gain skills to help navigate future problems life may throw at you. My role is to support and challenge you to grow and stretch yourself. I am a firm believer in the resilience of the human spirit. Our spirit can get lost inside of us, buried under the weight of our stressors. In therapy we will work together to rediscover and embrace your spirit of resilience!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
You're imperfect, and you're wired for struggle, but you are worthy of love and belonging. -Brene Brown
