About My Clients
You are just keeping your head above water, always working, always doing, leaving little time for things you enjoy. You are afraid that if you say “no” to work or to the people in your life, you are letting them down. You often feel responsible for other’s emotional reactions, trying to smooth things over. You walk on eggshells & are focused on not upsetting anyone that you constantly second guess yourself. At times you feel like your emotions are not legitimate, increasing stress & anxiety.
How I Can Help You
I have a collaborative approach when working with individual and couples who are struggling to find a healthy balance in all areas of their lives. I will help you understand your patterns that are helpful and patterns that are no longer serving you and becoming problematic. Creating and building empathy for yourself will help you begin to learn what you want and need out of relationships. Increasing your confidence in setting healthy limits and boundaries will help strengthen and preserve you and your relationships. While working together you can begin to move toward feeling less weighed down, and feel more connected with yourself and with others around you in a way that you can enjoy and be fully present.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
When we have empathy for ourselves and understand our own patterns, we have an opportunity to make change, to heal, and to work toward being our best selves. In turn, we have more space to be empathic in our relationships and shift unhelpful patterns into helpful ways of interacting in the world. Outside of the therapy office, I love gardening and being in nature whether that be kayaking, hiking or being at the beach. Connecting with nature helps me feel more grounded, mindful and connected with myself. I am also a Reiki Master and provide reiki for my family and friends.
