I have dedicated my career to providing direct counseling to adolescents, families, and couples with specific emphasis on co-occurring disorders, including substance use disorders, mental illness, and histories of violence, trauma; and family-centered practice.
My Background and Approach
Mrs. Calfee Regueira has worked in community-based organizations and private practice in Miami and the Boston area since 2004. From 2008-2011, she was a therapist on an NIH grant with the University of Miami involving Preventing Substance Abuse in Hispanic Adolescents and their Families and then went on to provide in-home individual and family therapy to youth and their families in Miami-Dade County. From 2012-2017, Meghan created and directed an adult outpatient substance use treatment agency providing substance use counseling to multiple DUI offenders. In 2017, she moved back to the Boston area and became Director of Youth and Young Adult Services at the Institute for Health and Recovery supervising 3 clinical outpatient programs and supervising therapists. Since moving back to Miami she has been working as a Mental Health Coordinator for MDCPS and private practice.
