About My Clients
My clients are teens, adults and couples who are doing their best but feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally worn down. You may be the one who holds things together for others while quietly feeling stuck, unseen, or exhausted. I work well with people navigating stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the impact of past experiences, who want support that feels practical, compassionate, and human.
My Background and Approach
My work blends strong clinical training, real-life experience, and a genuine sense of humor—because therapy doesn’t have to feel stiff or intimidating to be meaningful. I’ve completed advanced trainings in trauma and relationship-focused therapy, including Dr. Bessel van der Kolk’s work on how the body holds stress and trauma, Dr. Sue Johnson’s Emotionally Focused Therapy for building safer, more connected relationships, Gabor Maté’s Compassionate Inquiry for understanding how early experiences continue to shape us, and Dr. Lindsay Gibson’s work with adult children of emotionally immature parents. What this means for you is therapy that looks beyond surface-level coping and approaches patterns with curiosity rather than judgment. I believe suffering is both universal and deeply personal, shaping how we move through the world and relate to others. In our work together, you can expect thoughtful questions, practical insight, moments of lightness when appropriate, and a steady, compassio
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
At the core of my work is a belief that people make sense in context. I believe suffering is universal, but how it shows up is unique—and shaped by family systems, culture, identity, power, and life experiences. I deeply value compassion, curiosity, and honesty over judgment or quick fixes. I strive to create an inclusive, affirming space and support LGBTQ+ individuals, clients navigating complex family dynamics, and people who have felt unseen or emotionally overlooked. I’m especially mindful of how trauma, emotional neglect, and chronic stress quietly shape the way we move through the world. Outside of therapy, I’m grounded by lifelong learning, meaningful connection, and my three rescue dogs, who remind me daily about presence, patience, and care. I believe therapy works best when it feels human—where you’re met with respect, warmth, and room to be exactly who you are.
