About My Clients
I know how intimidating vulnerability can be, especially with someone new, so thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. I grew up around a large Indian immigrant population in the Bay Area where I navigated the challenges of being Indian in an American society. We often struggled in learning how to express our emotions, felt overwhelmed by intense academic pressures, and experienced incredible dissonance navigating individualistic and collectivistic values.
My Background and Approach
My role as a therapist is not to provide you with “expert knowledge” but to ask questions in a way that invites deeper reflection on the stories of your life. Sometimes the messages we receive from society affect the stories we tell ourselves and steal the control we have over our lives. My hope is that we can work together to shift these narratives and regain power and agency over these stories. I am currently welcoming appointments via Telehealth. I also encourage you to reach out to me and we can coordinate a quick call to determine if I am the right fit for you. I look forward to working with you.
