You may have found that due to some recent life circumstance, you are feeling stressed, anxious, lonely, overwhelmed, or even ashamed. These are natural, human emotions, which can arise from a host of reasons including fertility challenges, reproductive loss, adjusting to parenthood, work-related stress, starting college, or relationship issues. It can feel isolating, and you deserve to be seen and understood. The good news is you don’t have to go through it alone, and you were never meant to.
My Background and Approach
The choice to come to therapy is deeply personal. I take great care to get to know you as a whole person, beyond a list of symptoms, and I tailor my approach to your needs as well as your strengths. I provide a compassionate, safe space in which I collaborate with you to work through life’s challenges. I integrate a variety of evidence-based practices to meet your specific needs. I incorporate cognitive thinking skills, self-compassion, mindfulness, and action-oriented steps to help you achieve your treatment goals. I work from the perspective that while pain is inevitable at times, suffering can be optional. I can help you develop skills that enable you to experience hope and joy, even during life’s challenges, while finding a new sense of strength and empowerment. These skills teach you how to accept what is outside of your control, treat yourself with compassion, and commit to action that improves your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm passionate about perinatal mental health, helping women and new parents through all stages of their pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting journeys, including issues related to fertility and loss. I respect that not all birthing people identify as women or mamas. My practice is a safe and judgment-free space for all individuals impacted by perinatal mental health issues, regardless of your gender identity, sexual orientation, or family structure.
