About My Clients
Have you experienced a loss? Do you feel like no-one can understand you or what you're going through? Do you feel like you're stuck in a loop of anxiety, depression, guilt and anger? Often we feel we are forced to enter that journey alone, I don't want anyone to struggle silently. Loss can feel insurmountable, confusing, exhausting and even at times a relief. Loss is not something wrong with you or something you did, it's an experience that I want to help you move forward through.
My Background and Approach
My goal is to create a space to experience your pain, move through your feelings and create a version of yourself outside of loss. I will teach you tools to regulate and identify your feelings and stay present. I will help educate you on the spectrum of loss, what happens to our physical and emotional selves while experiencing it. You will gain the ability to move forward and live around your loss, rather than within. Loss changes us; how we see ourselves, how we see our place in the world.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
A validating, affirming space is what I value the most. I want you to be able to be who you are, free from judgment and shame. Many communities are at risk of harm, loss of services/resources, discrimination and loss right now. I want our time together to be one where you can feel that pain, have a partner to support you through it, and explore what safety means to you or those you love. I have many years allying and supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, support BLM, member of the Secular Therapy Project and believe that therapy and grief are political no matter how you swing it. I'm also a devout plant lady, dog mom, irreverent, and a book enthusiast (one could say a book "dragon"). If I sound like a good fit to you, please reach out!
