About My Clients
Using EMDR and Brainspotting, I help clients process what's stuck at the nervous-system level, not just talk around it. Whether that's a pattern from childhood, a relationship that left you doubting yourself, or the daily friction of a hard transition, I want you to leave sessions actually feeling different, not just understanding why you feel the way you do. I enjoy working with teens and adults. I see clients out of Therayology's Wauwatosa office and via telehealth across Wisconsin.
My Background and Approach
My background as an educator shaped how I show up in this work. I'm patient, I explain things clearly, and I don't assume you should already know how to do the thing we're working on. I believe therapy works best when you understand why we're doing something, not just what to do, so I take time to walk through what's happening in your nervous system and why a certain approach might help, rather than asking you to just trust the process. If something isn't landing, we adjust; I'd rather slow down and meet you where you are than move forward and leave you behind. That same instinct shows up in how I explain EMDR and Brainspotting themselves. I want you to feel like an informed participant in your own healing, not a passenger.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
At my core, I'm a social worker — I love people, and I believe access to quality mental health care shouldn't depend on who you are or what you can afford. That belief shows up in the work I do every day: advocating for accessible, high-quality care and showing up for clients who've too often been failed by systems that were supposed to help them. Outside of session, you'll usually find me elbow-deep in a DIY project or some kind of arts and crafts — I like making things with my hands as much as I like the work of helping people rebuild.
