My Background and Approach
Sometimes we’ll try a specific strategy to ground your body or calm your thoughts. Other times, we’ll explore something that upset you to understand you and the situation better. The official terms for this are CBT, ACT, AEDP and psychodynamic approaches. What it feels like is a conversation with someone who really cares. At the end of session, you’ll feel calmer and leave with new tools.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I’ve recovered from an eating disorder myself so I know it’s possible to fully recover. For more on that, visit my website. Eating disorders (ED) have their own logic. If you’ve tried to explain the ED thoughts to someone who’s never been there, you’ve probably noticed that a lot of people don’t understand. It’s like Alice in Wonderland; what’s up is down, what’s healthy is bad and what’s sick is good. But when you understand the logic, they make perfect sense. Even though your story is different than mine, I understand. I also know how different life can be when you heal. Confidence and peace are within your reach. I'd love to be part of your healing.
