About My Clients
Maybe you’ve spent years trying to understand why you feel the way you do, but understanding it hasn’t made it easier to change. You might look like you’re doing fine while feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck. Maybe you learned to keep the peace, take care of everyone else, or hide your feelings. Now you may struggle with boundaries, relationships, self-worth, people-pleasing, or letting your guard down. You’re ready for something to change.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that you are more than the things that have happened to you. I am EMDR trained, IFS-informed, and trained in ketamine-assisted therapy, and I draw from these approaches along with CBT depending on what fits your needs. I work with adults navigating complex trauma, difficult childhood experiences, relationship patterns, anxiety, depression, and emotional overwhelm. I believe therapy should be a place where you can be honest without having to perform, explain everything perfectly, or have it all figured out. Together, we’ll work to understand where your patterns come from, build greater emotional safety and self-awareness, and help you create meaningful change rather than simply learning to cope with the same problems over and over.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe you are the expert on your own life, even when you feel disconnected from yourself or unsure of what you need. I believe our responses make sense in the context of what we’ve lived through, and that change doesn’t require you to shame or fight the parts of yourself that are struggling. Therapy should feel like a place where you can be honest, understood, and challenged when needed. You deserve support that helps you understand yourself while also creating real change. www.mwinklerlpcc.com
