You might be more sensitive, more emotional or a deeper thinker, but no one around you seems to get it. You don't just want a therapist who will slap you with a diagnosis and urge you to take meds. You want to get to the root of the problem.
My Background and Approach
I practice holistic counseling, meaning I believe that you are more than just a diagnosis or collection of symptoms. We will look at all areas of your life and dig deep to get to the root of the problem, figure out what's no longer working for you, and work together to brainstorm a new way of life that feels authentic and joyful to you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the potential to live their best lives. Often issues with our mental and emotional health stems from traumas that we have experienced, faulty belief systems that we have learned (often in childhood) and issues with our worth as a person (Am I good enough? Am I worthy? Do I matter?). If these issues are stuffed down and not dealt with, they can cause a whole host of symptoms such as anxiety, depression, anger, physical pain and even illnesses.
