About My Clients
Do you struggle with managing your fears? Do you feel confused about how to handle difficult emotions? Are you experiencing feelings of uncertainty or inner turmoil? Do these struggles lead to compulsive or destructive behaviors? These are all typical symptoms of anxiety, depression, and trauma. There are evidence-based methods such as Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, Dialectical-Behavioral therapy, Mindfulness approaches, and Acceptance and Commitment therapy that can help with these battles.
My Background and Approach
I am an independent clinical social worker with 7+ years of experience in treating depression, anxiety, addiction, PTSD, stress, and mood regulation. I believe in the power of empathy to help clients recognize their worth and utilize their strengths to push through their struggles, while building lasting skills that will help them to achieve balance.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in a person's ability to change and see their worth, given the adequate tools, support, and resources. I believe in 2nd, 3rd, 10th, and 25th chances. As someone who began in the field of social services as a volunteer, I have witnessed redemption under the most unlikely circumstances. I consider myself to be someone who has always been committed to advocating for the plight of the unheard, the forgotten, and the disenfranchised. I'm a HUGE advocate of encouraging the flying of one's own "freak flag" and can be seen doing this publicly every October when I dance with the Seattle Thrillers. I'm big on cultural humility and will always be committed to observing, learning, and understanding about other people's lived experiences that have shaped their lives for bad or good. If you think we may be a good fit, please get at me for a free consult. I'm available for in-person or telehealth.
