As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I provide a safe and affirming place for all people. I specialize in working with folx going through the coming out process, suffering from anxiety, and working through trauma. I also have a passion for working with teens, young adults and folx that are open to exploring mind, body connection as a part of healing. *Ask me about my masters level interns if you are looking for a more affordable counseling option*
My Background and Approach
As a former collegiate athlete, coach and trainer, when I first began counseling, I thought I would mostly work in the sports psychology world. As I grew into my counseling career, I came to the realization that trauma happens in everyone's life and we all want to seek healing. I use several different approaches to trauma and anxiety, including Somatic Experiencing, Somatic Attachment Theory, Trauma-Focused CBT, and most importantly, a person-centered approach. I believe strongly that our mind, body and souls are interconnected and we cannot treat one without acknowledging the others.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Everyone is worthy of love, respect, and redemption. I proudly identify as an LGBTQ+ advocate and continue to broaden my cultural awareness. Black lives matter. Trans lives matter. You matter.
