About My Clients

You’re in the right place if your mind won’t shut off—even when nothing is obviously wrong. You notice the same patterns in your relationships or reactions, rely on alcohol or marijuana to take the edge off, and feel stuck despite trying to change. You don’t need more coping strategies—you need to resolve what’s underneath. I specialize in helping clients shift the deeper patterns driving anxiety, reactivity, and the urge to numb out so things actually change.

My Background and Approach

My approach to therapy is real, direct, and collaborative. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model or talking in circles that don’t lead anywhere. Instead, I work alongside you—offering honest feedback, practical tools, and steady support. I draw from both my professional training and personal experience, which allows me to meet clients with empathy, insight, and a deep understanding of how change actually happens. Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade working in addiction treatment and mental health facilities. That experience shaped how I practice today, especially when working with trauma, anxiety, and chronic relapse. I’ve seen firsthand that lasting change requires more than just awareness. It takes trust, structure, and an approach that truly fits the person. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, challenged when needed, and supported every step of the way.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that therapy is inherently shaped by social and political contexts. My goal is to create a safe, affirming space for individuals from marginalized communities, including LGBTQ+ clients and people from diverse cultures and countries. I work from a lens that honors identity, lived experience, and systemic factors, and I am committed to providing care that is respectful, inclusive, and empowering. I approach therapy with the understanding that neurodivergent minds work in unique and meaningful ways. As a neurodivergent person myself, I recognize that different brains have different needs, strengths, and ways of processing the world, and I strive to tailor care accordingly rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.
