My Background and Approach
To me, therapy is much more than symptom reduction, though it can involve this. I see therapy as a movement towards thriving and flourishing as your authentic self. Because I seek to honor each person’s unique particularities and hopes, therapy with me is never a one-size-fits-all experience. Based on your wants and needs, I use an integrative approach that draws from modalities such as havening, psychodynamic therapy, CBT, Internal Family Systems, and EMDR. Above all, I seek to be a compassionate, curious, culturally-sensitive, and empowering therapeutic presence.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Most of us want to thrive, but the messiness and struggle of life can make thriving seem impossible. From unending stress and past traumas to difficult relationships and broken societal systems, we constantly encounter obstacles to living our fullest lives. Sometimes, we struggle to just get through the day. If you’re in a place of stuckness or pain and you’re ready for something new, therapy can help. You don’t have to figure it out by yourself. I will join you in your struggles: bearing witness to what you have experienced with empathy and compassion, collaboratively gleaning deeper insight into your life, and ultimately helping you move through it. I’m here to journey with you through the pain towards greater flourishing and the life you want to live.
