About My Clients
I see both adults, couples and adolescents over the age of 12. Most seek therapy to first, find some immediate relief from something that is getting in the way of them living fully able to be present in parenting, marriage, or work that they love.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. I hold a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fresno Pacific University. I have extensive training in trauma focused modalities, attachment-based techniques. art therapy, family systems work, and am an EMDR trained clinician. I balance both non-directive and directive interventions. I include somatically and mindfulness-based approaches. I have worked with almost all ages in a variety of settings from crisis work, elementary schools, outpatient non-profits, and group private practices.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I celebrate the mystery of humanity and the full range of human experience. I witness the wonder of my client's unique transformation. I create safety through a warm and emotionally engaged relationship where all clients are valued and respected. I am a lifelong learner. I provide treatment in line with current neuroscience and therapeutic interventions. My own self-awareness and personal growth are critical. I examine internalized prejudice, shame, -isms, or phobias ways to reject any furthering harm or contribute to any systemic oppression. Therapy is an art form more than a series of mechanized or defined steps. Therapy leads to a more beautiful and creative experience of life and a truer and fuller expression of who you are.
