About My Clients
Are you looking for a safe, nonjudgemental space to work through relationship issues with a partner(s), interpersonal distress, parenting, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, life adjustments/transitions, or sexual concerns? I will collaborate with you to discover new ways to navigate the issues you're experiencing and utilize the strengths that you bring to therapy. I see couples, families, and individuals (14+) of all backgrounds, sexual orientations, gender expressions, and relationship styles.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is collaborative, strength-based, direct, and non-judgmental. In addition, I believe that laughter can be healing, so I incorporate humor into therapy when appropriate. From the beginning, I work to create a space where you feel safe and comfortable sharing information about your life with me. You can expect to learn tools that can be used in your daily life to manage the issues you're experiencing. We will also work to find new approaches and perspectives to your issues to reduce their overall impact on your life. I will work to get to know you to determine what approaches to therapy might work best for you. I pull from a variety of therapy approaches and theories, including Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, EFT, CBT, Experiential therapy, Narrative therapy, and attachment theory. I have completed Level 1 & 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the potential to live a life that they enjoy. I also believe that everyone comes to therapy with strengths. It takes courage and motivation to begin therapy and face the issues you are experiencing. Therefore, you demonstrate strengths simply by showing up to therapy.
