My Background and Approach
Megan Schlude is a Licensed Professional Counselor and the owner of Wellness Initiative. She provides individual, couples, and group therapy. Megan earned a BA in Psychology from the University of South Florida, and a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. In session, Megan strives to provide authentic, relaxed and effective treatment to each client. She is warm and welcoming, while also being directive when needed. She is highly focused on the healing power of the therapeutic relationship, and the importance of building rapport and connection with each client. Therapy can be engaging and fun, while also being healing and transformative. Megan utilizes an attachment based approach in therapy coming from a psychodynamic orientation, with a major focus on the relationship between client and therapist. She utilizes evidence based practices that are shown to be highly effective, along with a holistic approach to wellness.
