About My Clients
As a neurodivergent individual myself, I understand the unique challenges and strengths that come with living in a world that isn't always built with our needs in mind. Whether you are beginning to explore neurodivergence or have already been diagnosed, together we will work to reduce feelings of shame around characteristics and behaviors, and collaboratively build tools for navigating daily life with more confidence and self-compassion.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, affirming and deeply person-centered. I believe that there is no 'one size fits all' approach to therapy and enjoy weaving together a variety of evidence-based strategies to tailor treatment to the unique needs, strengths and communication style of each of my clients. I believe that therapy should be a safe and judgment-free space where you can show up exactly as you are - stimming, fidgeting, going off-topic, or processing at your own pace is always welcome. When working with my neurodivergent clients I often focus on building executive functioning skills, emotional regulation tools, and self-advocacy strategies while also addressing the impacts of masking, burnout and societal expectations. I approach therapy through a lens of equality, inclusion and respect for all identities and am deeply committed to providing a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can feel truly seen and valued.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone deserves access to mental health care that truly sees them, not just their diagnoses, but the whole, complex, beautiful person they are. I am deeply passionate about creating spaces where different minds are celebrated rather than corrected, and committed to pushing back against the shame and stigma that so many of my clients have absorbed along the way. I am also a proud LGBTQ+ affirming therapist. I believe that identity, in all its forms, should be honored in the therapy space, never questioned or minimized. Every person deserves to show up exactly as they are. Mental health advocacy is close to my heart both professionally and personally. I believe that talking openly about mental health, normalizing help-seeking, and challenging outdated narratives about what it truly means to need support are some of the most important things we can do, in the therapy room and beyond. At the core of everything I do is a simple belief: you are not broken. You never were.
