About My Clients
My clients are women who have relied on their anxiety for high performance, but that's no longer serving them in their new roles or life. My specialty is working on people pleasing through boundary setting, processing how childhood patterns are still impacting you, and increasing self-worth in all areas of life including work, family, and relationships. I specialize in reproductive mental health and postpartum well-being.
My Background and Approach
My clients can expect a place of support to process the monumental pressures of being a woman. I recognize the disconnect that can result from loss and unexpected trauma; I work to make it safe to connect to your body again. Women who are ready to engage in more connected relationships with themselves, their loved ones, and the world can benefit from Polyvagal Therapy. This means we'll work with the nervous system to create a safe experience in the therapy room to address your stress. We do this by shaping the nervous system through education, verbal processing, and body-felt experiences. Always at your own pace.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a therapist, I don't hold back my encouragement and support when you aim toward your goals. I always say to my clients "Be careful what you dream about out loud in here because I will help you make that happen!" I'm a recovering pragmatist who survived on anxiety and coffee, and trust me—I thought it was the only way. Everyone deserves to be in meaningful relationships with others and with themselves. Change is a combination of big-picture thinking and small everyday actions. You don't need to overhaul your life, I promise. The small shifts of everyday living add up to increase your presence and attendance in life. Other than that I'm a nerd who feeds on novels, writes daily, and believes that there is more to life than service to capitalism. We can all be subversive in our own ways in order to find the purpose and motivation for living a good life.
