About My Clients

I have experience with a variety of concerns and ages. In todays trying times there are more pressures than ever, and we can all feel overwhelmed. Whether you are struggling to support your child, processing trauma from the past, having question about your gender or sexuality, or find it difficult to get through the day. An integrative, non- judgemental and empathic counselor can help empower you to take on anything life throws at you.

My Background and Approach

Professionally, I have worked with children and teens in the foster care system, juvenile corrections system, and with displaced populations. With these populations, I gained experience treating numerous concerns such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, conduct/behavioral issues, trauma, sexuality, and gender identity. I believe in using an individualized approach with my clients using empirically-based treatments that suit your specific needs. My areas of expertise are trauma-informed care, affirming therapy, emotional regulation, and cognitive behavioral therapy. It is my goal to build strong, united, and trustworthy relationships with my clients and my community. I would be honored to be a part of your journey.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

It is my believe that everyone could benefit from counseling, through the turmoil of life we often pick up unhealthy learned behaviors that helped us survive. They served a very important role in times of conflict, but now they are causing us more harm than good. The good new is, just as we learned them, we can unlearn them to become more regulated, more communicative, and less symptomatic. I also believe that everyone needs space to be heard and felt understood. Everyone has a safe space in my office. My passionates outside of my practice include supporting the LGBT community, the foster care community, and displaced populations. If you are in need of a safe space whether that is to work on anxiety or trauma or just simply to have a compassionate listening ear, I would be honored to provide that space.
