About My Clients
You may be grieving someone you love, navigating infertility or pregnancy loss, carrying the weight of caregiving or serious illness, or trying to make sense of a difficult or traumatic experience. You may also be facing anxiety, depression, or a life transition that has left you feeling overwhelmed or uncertain. I work with adults who want a steady, compassionate place to understand what they’re experiencing and find greater clarity, healing, and hope.
My Background and Approach
Before opening my private practice, I spent years working as a medical social worker in the hospital, supporting patients and families through serious illness, caregiving, grief, trauma, and profound life changes. I also worked in a memory clinic, supporting individuals and families navigating cognitive change, caregiving, and loss. These experiences deeply shaped the therapist I am today. My approach is warm, relational, attachment-focused, and trauma-informed. Together, we may pay attention to emotions, thoughts, relationships, and the ways your body responds to difficult experiences. I draw from Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), TEAM-CBT, somatic awareness, and other approaches based on your individual needs. I don’t believe therapy is about rushing you toward a particular outcome or asking you to “move on” from what has happened. My hope is to help you understand and process your experiences, while finding greater clarity, healing, and hope.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My Christian faith is personally important to me and has shaped the way I understand compassion, hope, and what it means to enter into another person’s suffering with humility and without judgment. I believe there is profound value in being willing to sit with someone in what is painful, even when it cannot simply be fixed. As a social worker, I am deeply committed to honoring the inherent dignity and worth of each person, the importance of human relationships, and each person’s right to make choices about their own life. I believe therapy is a collaborative relationship where your experiences, values, beliefs, and hopes are treated with respect and where you remain the expert on your own life. For clients who desire it, I welcome the integration of Christian faith into therapy. You do not need to share my beliefs to work with me. I welcome people of all backgrounds and beliefs, and our work together will be centered on what matters to you and the goals you bring to therapy.
