About My Clients
Growing up did you feel pulled between two worlds, not sure where you belong? Was it difficult to take up space and express your needs? Maybe you notice tendencies toward perfectionism, worry, and self-doubt? Perhaps the world feels too big, too loud, and too intense for you at times. If you're nodding along, I'd love to connect. If you've tried talk therapy and feel it was helpful, or unhelpful, you may find my talk therapy approach refreshingly holistic and non-pathologizing.
My Background and Approach
Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in numerous roles and worlds. I bring all of those experiences, as well as my expertise in transracial, transnational adoption into my therapeutic approaches. I have a relaxed style, conversation-like sessions, and I'm not afraid to be human! I have been working with clients in therapy spaces since 2021 and have a toolbox full of skills and resources on anxiety, depression, grief and loss, childhood trauma, adoption, career path/direction, family relationships, communication, self-compassion, ADHD and autism, and a host of other skills and supports! I have attended trainings on autism, neurodivergence, surprise DNA discoveries, anxiety, panic, grief and loss, race and racial identity, and received a certificate from the University of Minnesota's CASCW PACC program for adoption competency. The therapy space is YOUR space, so we will work together to collaborate on what you need most!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value every one's lived experiences. You are the expert in your life and your story. I am a Korean-American transracial, transnational adopted cisgender female. I have worked alongside local Korean adoptee organizations and am a vetted therapist through Foster Adopt MN's HELP program, which aims to make adoption competent care accessible and affordable for adoptees in the state of Minnesota.
