About My Clients
I feel confident in working with a variety of topics including Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Life Transitions, Coping Skills for Stress Management, and LGBTQ+ Topics of Concern. I work with clients at Griffin & Associated Practitioners in Bend. The setting is beautiful, peaceful, and positive and is a great place to do our in-person work together. My Background and Approach
I firmly believe we all have the ability to grow and change as people, regardless of the trauma we have been through. My role as your therapist is to provide and follow a person-centered approach, as well as make sure treatment is a collaborative process. I have training in and will utilize DBT, CBT, and ACT in our work together. Mental illness and substance use are issues that have affected my family generationally, and I believe that I have a well rounded understanding of how it can affect an individual, as well as how one can grow and evolve. A core priority and value in my work with clients is to create a safe, empathetic environment in order to explore your experiences and any emotions, behaviors, and thought patterns that may be present in your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I enjoy working with all my clients but young adults to older adults and individuals who hold identities in the LGBTQ+ population are a focus of my experiences, training, and interest. I believe that if you are seeking therapy, you are motivated and willing to work on the changes you hope to see in your life. This shows up in session in individual ways. Because of this, I believe it is important to meet you where you are at in your change process and will tailor our work together in order to facilitate that desired growth.
