About My Clients
There is no issue too big or too small to bring to therapy. I enjoy working with anyone who wants to gain a better understanding of themselves, their challenges, and their strengths. I love working with creative individuals and anyone who may be struggling to align what you know with how you feel. If you're looking to go deeper into self-discovery, we may be a great fit.
My Background and Approach
Research has continuously shown that the most important factor for positive change is the therapeutic relationship itself. I lead with curiosity and strive to be the best fit for you by providing personalized approaches based on your lived experience and my expertise. I am able to tailor the therapy experience to your specific needs as I am well versed and trained in many different types of therapy, such as EMDR, DBT, ACT, IFS, and Coherence Therapy. If you don't know what any of those are, that's not a problem! Just know that I have a lot of tools to choose from when helping us pick the best path in our work together. We will work collaboratively to address what brings you to therapy. I aim to make therapy feel casual, humorous when appropriate, and meaningful.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The world is a harrowing place. I believe this is a huge factor in why so many people are struggling with anxiety, depression, burnout, and more. There are a lot of systems at play that aim to keep people stuck, and I want to help you keep moving towards your goals without getting snared in the web of capitalism and productivity mindsets. I will always show up to our work with a strengths-based perspective, multicultural competency and humility, LGBTQ+ affirming stance, and an anti-racist position. I like to keep up with the newest findings on mental health struggles and treatments, and love distilling that information into digestible pieces that the every-day person can learn from and easily understand. Mental health is unfortunately still stigmatized in a lot of spaces. Demystifying these issues can make them feel less scary and unknown. At the end of the day, these are humans dealing with human issues.
