About My Clients
My clients are motivated for change and ready to face the difficulties they've experienced in their lives. They are actively seeking relief and change, even if they're reticent to begin the journey and concerned about finding a therapist they can just be real with. Integrating EMDR practice into where I meet my clients helps them make strides at the pace that keeps the client safe, but allows for a beautiful evolution to move toward meeting their goals.
My Background and Approach
I've worked historically for behavioral health agencies, in schools, and for the last 7 years in private practice. Over the years, I've honed my skills to be able to seek out the areas where clients struggle and assist them in developing the awareness of their internal world necessary to make other choices and produce change. Part of that learning process has involved deepening my work in EMDR and being a forever learner. I believe everyone has the ability to develop the capacity needed for change. Everyone starts at a different place, and so I will meet you where you are and help you identify what to work on in order to initiate positive change in your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone can develop the capacity to make changes in their lives. I do see that everyone starts at a different place due to varied life experiences and temperament differences. I enjoy working with others in their trauma histories because I love getting to see those positive changes happen and to get to be a small part of your journey. I regularly give back by volunteering for trainings to teach new therapists how to use EMDR and provide consultation to those therapists as well. I want to be a part of the change that leads us as a whole to better mental health and resiliency in the world around us.
