I work with people with anxiety on skill building, perspective shifting, and mindfulness strategies to reduce anxiety. I also utilize EMDR, which was initially developed for trauma treatment; however, in certain circumstances, it can also be helpful to reduce anxiety.
I work with people in monogamous and non monogamous relationships to improve understanding of themselves and their partner to reduce conflict and improve connection. I work primarily from an Emotionally Focused Therapy approach which helps couples learn to identify their conflict cycle, interrupt it, and learn to repair more effectively in moments of distress/vulnerability/or disconnection.
I work with individuals who have experienced trauma to heal and feel more able to live life without re-experiencing the trauma and its aftereffects in their present and future life. I utilize EMDR as a trauma treatment tool, which can help heal the brain/body, which is where unresolved trauma can reside, causing people to re-experience trauma and feel held back in life based on the impact of trauma.
