About My Clients
As a licensed professional counselor in Virginia, Maryland, and Georgia, I specialize in working with anxiety disorders, OCD, trauma, substance use, depression, anxiety and more. I take pride in providing inclusive therapy to the queer community and creating safe cultural spaces for individuals from disenfranchised communities. I have worked in a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient, and private practice.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University in Arlington, VA. While I am experienced in working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in residential treatment, outpatient treatment and private practice, I am especially interested in working with clients that identify as LGBTQIA+. I have facilitated child, adolescent and adult group counseling sessions with topics such as evidence-based seeking safety, defense mechanisms, social-skills, cognitive distortions, self-compassion, coping with shame, boundaries, healthy relationships and many more. I am confident that we can work together to help you fully embody your truest, most healthiest self.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Our practice is intentionally inclusive and affirming, particularly for LGBTQ+ individuals, people of color, and those from historically marginalized communities. We are committed to creating a space where clients feel emotionally safe, respected, and understood.
