About My Clients
While I have experience working with individuals from age 4 to age 80, I am most familiar working with ages 12 - 40. And while I have an openness to working with anyone who is willing to do the work and make positive changes, I am most familiar working with individuals who are struggling with mood disorders, trauma disorders, ADHD, autism, borderline personality disorder, self-esteem and identity, interpersonal issues, and life changes.
My Background and Approach
I offer a strengths-based approach consisting of compassion, empathy, and humor to help clients achieve growth that is genuine and sustainable. I pull from person-centered, solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, and dialectical behavioral modalities to support clients in navigating challenges and life changes, better understand themselves and their emotions, and learning to take healthy steps surrounding self-care and boundary-setting.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Even before I started volunteering for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline in 2016, I was passionate about helping others work to build a life worth living and understand their deservingness of that. I believe each of us, regardless of how flawed we might feel or seem, are uniquely wonderful and deserving of self-compassion, healthy relationships, and an enjoyable life.
