About My Clients
Are you feeling overwhelmed with adulting and all the demands on your plate? Have you been trying to figure it out and still feel like something is missing? Are your relationships feeling the impact of all the challenges? I know what you are feeling: exhausted, no one understands, you don't have capacity to do things that once brought you joy. This can feel like a lot and I don't want you to have to figure it out alone anymore. Holistic practices are tools we can use to reconnect to calm.
My Background and Approach
More than half of my career has been in a hospital setting (Trauma ICU, pediatric oncology, pediatric ER, inpatient). I know crisis and grief intimately. There is a calm in all the chaos and I think paying attention to our bodies is the way through. The last 7 years I have worked in school settings with grades preschool-8th, apparently I enjoy the challenges. I love supporting adults with establishing their boundaries, especially with their parents or work lives. Working with kids helps me better understand our inner child and the love we all seek. One of my supervisors once said everyone is a pie and we have to figure out which pieces need support. I love accompanying others to delight in themselves and their brave journeys.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I think everyone has challenges and leaning into vulnerable conversations can be healing when we feel psychologically safe. I am direct in my approach with clients, family and friends. One of my passions is supporting people who may feel lonely to reconnect with themselves and their supports. My own experiences with grief are a constant guiding light. In the beginning of my career I felt that maybe working closely with grief would make it easier when it came for me. Now I know, there is not much that makes it easier but honoring and sitting with grief can be healing and help us see new doors we might not have previously considered.
