Mindfulness can be practiced anywhere, at any time, and in just a moment. It can be as short as a breath, an acknowledgement, or a glance. Research has shown mindfulness to be effective as reducing stress and anxiety. A practice that incorporates mindfulness focuses on the present moment and noticing how we are feeling without judgement. It can be a means of connecting with how we are feeling and allows us to learn about ourselves and our experiences.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a research proven method of therapy whereby a therapist helps you to cognitively restructure unhelpful thoughts. We will look at the connections between your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions and identify how patterns of thinking and experiences impact how you feel. Techniques provide a means to gain better insight and provide a means of learning new skills and behaviors that will help you to better manage feelings of anxiety and depression.

Sometimes expressing ourselves requires more than words and at times we might make artwork together. Art Therapy is based on the belief that the creative process involved in artistic self-expression helps people to: Identify, explore, and express emotions, resolve conflicts and problems, reduce stress, increase self-esteem and self-awareness, and achieve insight.

Fertility, pregnancy, birth, motherhood, and parenting are major life experiences that can leave you feeling overwhelmed and not like yourself. Is motherhood different than you expected?
