About My Clients
Do you feel like you are always worried about something even if everything is okay? Do you worry how other people perceive you? Do you feel stressed about things that are happening in your life or the world? My clients are people who may struggle with anxiety, relationship issues, life transitions and adjustments, not feeling great about themselves or feeling that they cannot be themselves in many spaces, racial stress and trauma, among others. Together, we will work toward healing!
My Background and Approach
I am a culturally competent clinician who uses an eclectic approach in my work with you. Everyone’s story is unique. Therefore, my approach to each client (or couple) should be different. I collaborate with you to develop a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship which is essential to my work with you. My therapeutic approach is tailored to meet your individual (or couple) needs as I travel your journey with you. Some of these approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) where I help you challenge thinking patterns that no longer serve you, person-centered therapy, strength-based techniques to help you identify where you thrive, mindfulness techniques to help you practice SI[ghing] and finding peace, multicultural therapy, and narrative therapy, among others. While I also use these approaches when working with couples, I use techniques from the Gottman Method and Relational Life Therapy to help deepen intimacy and communication.
