About My Clients

My intention is to cultivate a safe, nonjudgmental space that honors the emotions and experiences of those I work with. I am deeply passionate about facilitating and leading positive change to support you in living your authentic self. I have spent my career supporting individuals navigating various mental health concerns including anxiety, stress, and trauma. I look forward to helping you connect to your truth and experience healing.

My Background and Approach

I am passionate about finding ways to help you discover a sense of calm. As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, I draw from an anti-oppressive lens that welcomes and embraces people from all walks of life. My therapy style is warm, collaborative and practical. I have many years of experience working with individuals and families. I specialize in concerns regarding anxiety, trauma family conflict, self-esteem issues, transitions, relationship challenges, boundaries and life stresses. I utilize a variety of approaches including Emotionally Focused Therapy, Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based practices. You may have goals such as healing from emotional pain, learning new coping strategies or improving your sense of self. Working from an eclectic approach helps me to focus on creating a therapeutic experience that is tailor-made to your individual needs. I am licensed in both Washington and Oregon state.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

We all have unique strengths and forms of resiliency that helps us become our best selves. Through life experience we understand situations and challenges by giving them meaning. In my work I've found that people find success exploring these perspectives and shifting thoughts that get in the way of being their authentic self. My therapeutic perspective is grounded in issues related to social justice and advocating for others. In sessions I cultivate an honest, safe and non-judgmental space that is created specifically for you. I like to bring my genuine self to the therapeutic relationship. You can expect gentle direction and accountability to help you meet your goals. If you'd like to learn more about working with me send me a message.
