About My Clients
I work with a wide variety of individuals, often around issues related to life transitions, compassion fatigue, and emotional eating. Many clients I work with around these core challenges do important work around loss and grief, personal identity, attachment styles, and relationship patterns.
My Background and Approach
I have spent the majority of my career working with children and families involved in the child welfare system, specifically related to foster care and adoption though have also worked in end-of-life care and bariatric health. These experiences have given me a lifespan perspective that I bring to my therapeutic work and have led me to always emphasize individual autonomy within my clinical practice.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a Health at Every Size, LGBTQ+ supportive, culturally sensitive and trauma informed advocate who sees the value of each person’s individual story and the power that can be harnessed by claiming it as your own. Outside of my role as a clinical social worker, I can often be found with my nose in a book, a warm drink in my hand, and my pup curled up by my side. I love crocheting and doing cross-stitch, feel most at peace on nature trails or in my hammock, and will always choose listening to a podcast over the radio.
