About My Clients
Folks in my office come from diverse backgrounds and experiences. They may be nervous about beginning treatment for the first time, or may feel frustrated at previous experiences in therapy. My clientele feels comfortable, respected, and challenged in the therapy space. I am passionate about meeting the needs of individuals facing diverse challenges, including personality disorders, mood disorders, life transitions, and more.
My Background and Approach
I am a Limited License Psychologist at Atelier Psychology. I attended undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, studying biopsychology, cognition, neuroscience, and psychology while working in research labs examining mTBI recovery. I then obtained my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Michigan School of Psychology. I specialize in individual psychotherapy, working with areas including anxiety, mood disorders, and personality disorders. I also have extensive experience conducting psychological assessments ranging from ADHD to memory evaluations. Alongside my clinical work, I am a part-time psychology instructor at a community college. I approach therapy from a person-centered mindset and encourage my patients to have input in their treatment. I validate experiences and provide tools to move forward. Your treatment is unique to you and may change over time; expect adaptable goals and accountability when needed.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am LGBTQ+ affirming and a vocal advocate for human rights worldwide. I hold a viewpoint of unconditional positive regard for my patients and believe in the capacity for change. I am also a mother, big sister, and plant caretaker.
