McKenzie McClaran (She/Her)

I use my background in human physiology and counseling to help psycho-educate individuals on the mind-body-brain connections and the neural underpinnings of why we become anxious when we do. I am also adept in mindfulness techniques and somatic techniques to help ground ourselves when we do become anxious.

I worked for 2 years at an outpatient substance abuse treatment facility working with individuals who dealt with drug and alcohol addiction. While using Cognitive behavioral therapy we will work on addressing the underlying traumas and thoughts that are perpetuating substance use.

I have a passion for women's issues in general and I specifically enjoy working with mothers that are in all stages of their pregnancy, postpartum, or those who have experienced any type of loss. I have been trained in these issues specifically and approach them with a compassionate and open mind.

I integrate meditation, mindful movement, and conscious awareness into my sessions to help individuals feel more grounded and less overwhelmed with their life.
