About My Clients
I work best with clients who are 18+ years old dealing with eating disorders, addiction, relationship issues, children of addicted parents, life changes, anxiety, depression, and trauma. This a place where you can be yourself and courageously take one step at a time to get to where you want to be. If you don't know where to start we can figure it out together. Being curious, authentic, and brave are the steps you're already taking, you may just not realize it yet.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed professional counselor. I graduated from the University of North Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I went on to receive a Master of Education at the University of Georgia in Mental Health Counseling. My past experiences throughout schooling have included volunteering at hospital settings and non-profit organizations dealing with emergency services, domestic violence, and sexual assault. At UGA I worked with students in recovery from substances and eating disorders. After graduating, I worked as a behavioral health clinician in a community mental health facility where I saw individuals dealing with substance misuse and severe mental disorders. I also provided individual therapy in a group practice setting for many years. Now I have my own private practice.
